Babcock Law Firm was founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on the concept of creating a results oriented law firm to serve the needs of Louisiana businesses and individuals and the national and regional businesses that do business in Louisiana. To attain this goal the law firm emphasizes high quality legal work and building trusting relationships with its clients.
Our Baton Rouge Injury Attorneys
represent individuals across Louisiana in very select
plaintiffs' litigation including auto accidents,
burn injuries,
brain injuries,
motorcycle accidents,
tractor trailer accidents and other
serious personal injury cases including
death cases.
As a Martindale Hubbell "BV" rated firm, we are committed to achieving results by providing the highest quality legal work and exceptional client service. We have found that our approach allows the law firm to handle the most simple and the most complex matters in an efficient, effective and cost conscience manner. Our attorneys are aggressive, but always working to find solutions. We employ a common sense and creative approach to problem solving, whether negotiating a business deal, crafting a merger or acquisition, mediating a dispute, or preparing for trial.
The essence of a top-notch law firm is personal communication and know-how. Nothing can replace the commitment of a skilled attorney willing to give whatever it takes to understand and fulfill your needs as our client. We pride ourselves in the fact that the law firm's clients think of us not just as attorneys, but as trusted business advisors.
We know Louisiana because we live, work, and play here. We believe that our personal lives are inseparable from our professional lives. Quite frankly, we are passionate about the practice of law, and that passion spills over into every client relationship we have.

A PASSION TO WIN
Winning. it's not everything, they say, but don't tell our attorneys that. Quite simply, Babcock Law Firm wants to win and that passion spills over into every case we accept. In most of our cases, we carry the same financial interest in the case as our clients, in that we get paid if our client does. The firm was founded on the concept of creating a results oriented law firm that would accept a limited number of cases and obtain great results for our clients. We have remained true to our word. We accept less than 5% of the cases we are presented with, but those with cases that make it into that 5% tend to be a pretty satisfied group of people and businesses. To perpetuate this goal the law firm emphasizes uncharacteristically high quality legal work with a razor sharp focus and no room for inefficiencies.

TWO SIMPLE GOALS.
We make a habit of not getting lost in the hubbub of litigation that larger firms with a pyramid structure of billing clients and leveraging associates thrive on.
We have two goals in mind: - getting your case to trial;
- winning it.
Along the way, we don't take many depositions, and those that we do take are short and to the point. Numerous, lengthy depositions do little more than educate the opposition and the opposition's attorneys, and quite frankly, they usually cause our opposition's attorneys to prepare for the case much sooner than they normally would have. We are quite adept at handling (and creating) surprises at trial, and taking numerous, lengthy depositions hinder our power to take advantage of those situations at trial.

We rarely send more than one lawyer to any type of litigation event, be it a motion hearing, a deposition, or anything else. When we do, it's usually an appellate specialist attending with a litigation specialist. In our firm, those roles are filled by different people. It takes a much different type of lawyer to try a case to a jury than it does to write a succinct and persuasive brief to a court of appeals.

WE'RE NOT AFRAID
We go to trial, and lawyers know it. When you are represented by Babcock Law Firm, the opposing party will know that you are willing to take the case all the way to a verdict if necessary; this fact alone never hurts, and you would be surprised how many lawyers are not willing to go the distance.
|
TRIAL READY
Very often we find ourselves in a David and Goliath situation with adverse counsel being from a firm with 200+ lawyers. While those firms are busy being distracted with discovery motions and leveraging their associates' billable hours, we are getting ready for trial.
|
We have found that our approach allows the firm to handle cases from the simplest matters to the most complex matters in an efficient yet particularly effective way.
Many companies who have had to defend cases brought by Babcock Law Firm or tried to sue clients that were defended by Babcock Law Firm are so impressed with our work that they hire us themselves the next time around. In fact, some of our largest, most satisfied clients have come to us this way.
Vince Lombardi was the one that said winning is not everything, but wanting to win is.
Our attorneys want to win; if you do to, you came to the right place.
